Diagnosis: Natural Hairline Restoration
This patient is a male in his early 50’s who presented with minimal hair loss in the hairline/frontal band region. The patient requested a subtle, natural rebuild of the hairline region. He stressed that a soft, natural appearance was most important to him. We informed him that natural hairline restoration was comprised of several important components: using the appropriate single-hair grafts in the frontal line, creating the appropriate shape and amount of irregularity, and density – low density hairlines/frontal bands do not look natural. Fortunately, this patient had soft, fine hair, so he was set up well for a natural, feathered hairline restoration. We used 1,200 grafts via the FUT technique and performed a dense hairline rebuild. The patient presented 12 months later, and clearly his goals were achieved.
