ABOUT

Dr. Jasmine Vincent

Dr. Jasmine Vincent attended medical school at the American University of Antigua and completed her residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Since graduating, Dr. Vincent has worked throughout Central Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a Board Certified physician and a member of multiple American Medical Academies. She retains staff privileges at both Centrastate Medical Center and Jersey Shore Medical Center. She has spent time in urgent care, primary care, and served as an inpatient consultant for a psychiatric facility. Because of this, she feels very comfortable working with a broad array of patients in a variety of different settings. However, she always found procedural medicine most interesting and this is what led her to observe hair transplant procedures with Dr Bloxham at the New York office. After realizing she had a true, natural talent for hair restoration, she began formally training with Dr Bloxham. After completing her surgical training, she became the medical director of the Philadelphia office. In Philadelphia, she offers a full range of hair restoration services in conjunction with Feller & Bloxham Medical.

Professional Hair Restoration Services in Pennsylvania

Hair loss can be a devastating change that leaves one feeling self-conscious and depressed. If hair loss is troubling you in Pennsylvania, then surgical hair restoration may be an option. Feller & Bloxham Medical offers a range of options for men’s and women’s hair loss using proven surgical hair transplant methods. During a consultation at our Philadelphia office, we will evaluate your hair loss, explain surgical options, and recommend the best surgical treatment.

Options for Male and Female Hair Loss

With up to 80% of men and 40% of women experiencing hair loss at some point in their lives, it is easy to see why so many are turning to surgical hair restoration. Knowing this, we at Feller & Bloxham Medical we pride ourselves on offering effective surgical techniques for both men and women.

The most effective approach is the gold standard FUT or “strip” technique, which involves removing a small strip of hair-bearing skin from a donor area – an area of thick, permanent hair on the sides and back of the scalp, dissecting it into individual follicles (follicular units) under microscopes, and transplanting it to the bald or thinning regions. This method provides the best growth, the largest transformations, creates minimal scarring in the donor region, and is ideal for patients with advanced hair loss and female patients.

For patients who are not candidates for the FUT process or only have small areas they wish to treat, we also perform the FUE, or Follicular Unit Extraction, hair transplant method. Unlike FUT, where we remove a small strip of hair-bearing skin and then dissect that strip down into the individual follicular units under microscopes, during FUE we use small tools to carefully cut around and pluck out the individual units “one-by-one” from the donor area. This method results in small “dot” scars instead of one small linear scar (FUT) in the donor area. While FUE has a lower growth yield and calls for smaller surgeries, it is a good option for patients only requiring small surgeries and those who want to keep their hair shorter on the sides.
