Diagnosis: Repair of old style hair transplants which were placed too far apart.

This patient from New Jersey had a hair transplant performed elsewhere before visiting us for repair and thickening. The problem was that his last clinic simply did not use enough grafts and failed to employ dense packing techniques. The result was a “haze” of unnatural looking hair on his head that not only failed to produce a pleasing look, but created a very unnatural appearance. We decided to leave the old grafts in with the exception of a few near the hairline which we removed, and then pack all the bald areas with new follicular unit grafts. We also rebuilt the hairline exclusively with 1 hair follicular units so that his face would be framed and look natural. The after photos were taken one year after his procedure.
